NM Road Conditions Driving from Lubbock to Taos NM

I will be driving up to Taos, NM from Lubbock, TX on Monday the 29th. I am trying to figure out how bad the road conditions are along the way. I wanted to take my economy car to save money on gas depending on how the roads are, if they are bad I will take the jeep. Thank you for your help.

Thank you,
Brandon Minze
