Haystack and Mescalero Info

Looking to go out wheeling this weekend in my jeep both Haystack and Mescalero near Roswell say OHV but Haystack says less than 40inch wide. Anyone have some info on these places? Are they worth wheeling in a jeep or are they more of a dirt bike and atv place?

Did you find anything out? I'm up here near Clovis (cannon AFB) and I'm looking for places to go.

Im at Cannon 2. But never found out much info on it and the trip fell through. I talked to a few people on base and the Canadian river in TX near Amarillo is suppose to be decent. But requires a pass from TX thats $15 a year i think. Just google it and you will find some info looks like the closest place tho.

I havent been out to either in a few years but I believe haystack does have a width limit. As far as I know Mescalero Sands doesn't have a width limit and I have seen vehicles other than quads and bikes running the dunes. Only drawback is Mesalero is only one section.
