Cannon AFB/Clovis/Portales area club

I've been talking with a few guys around here about starting a little club or group. We have a bunch of guys/gals around here with modified 4x4s but I don't think many of them or us get together much. Basically the idea would be to start something small, give it a name, and then pass out some cards with some info letting people know there are people with common interest. This would be a great way to share info on places to go, places to buy from, and people that can work on rigs. We can try and meet up once a week or every other week, great way to meet new people.

Any interest? Let me know what you guys think...

I'm in, I do know the majority of folks in SWFWD plus have drivin the majority of easy-hardcore trails of NM and CO.
I don't think we need to worry about by-laws as long as we keep it informal.
If we want to do some of the SWFWD events we can get sponsership from NM4WD out of ABQ or the Ruidoso Ridge Runners.

Yeah I was thinking something informal for now and see what comes from it.

What are some names you guys like?

Curry County Crawlers CCC?
Cannon Crawlers?
Curry/Roosevelt offroaders CRO?......................

High Plains Xplorers
We tend to do more exploring than crawling, and if I can get the members out on some trails over weekends to camp on the trails would draw more interests. We don't want it to look like we are a bunch of extreme crawlers, this is from my past experience with the NM4WD club.

I'm down with Bears opinion, I think sounding a little less crawl and a little more trail running would get more people. How about a mix of the names suggested? CCX Curry County Xplorers, or CC4W?
