Second cattle ranch? Is it just public land? I always assumed the ranches owned all of that area.

I had found it by accident, me and a couple guys had went to shoot at patriot and the range was close because of snow and mud, so one of the guys says he knows a place that's free, so we check it out, but you can't shoot there anymore but there's sand hill climbs and a trail that goes back through the desert or what ever you call the terrain around here. Sum of the story I've been back there a few times and seen lots of people out in jeeps, trucks, atvs, and dirt bikes when it's nice out, it's privately owned by the ranch but then owner doesn't use that part of the land and he used to let people shoot back in the pit, but no more because of liability issues but he lets people drive back there.

People usually go out there during the weekend. Mostly sundays. The owner has liability forms for you to sign, other than that go have fun. It's the largest Dairy on the back highway to the base. I forget what the name is.

Jk

I just found this thread and boy am I glad to have! I got stationed here a little less than a year ago, and last october I picked up my 2012 JK. It's a black JK Unlimited, and as of this moment it is topless and doorless so if you see me around, I'd love to stop and talk Jeeps for a bit. I have been dying to find a good place to go wheeling around here (once I get my new tires and wheels, the current 29" tires are abismal to say the least) and the only place I had heard of is down by Roswell. I reckon I should have my new wheels and tires sometime around the middle of the summer, so if anyone wants to get together and go jeeping, I would be more than happy.

Also... the white JKU in the lemon lot...

Hey guys, I'm probably going to hit up the dairy tomorrow afternoon. I'm fixing my GC right now. I'm trying to get some guys together so we can all meet. There is a clip board attached to a post that we have to sign in on but that's it, no fees or anything. I'll have a local guy bring his jeep down too so he can show u around. It doesn't matter if you have a show room stock jeep, sand is fun in anything.

We are going out there this weekend!

I'll be sure to bring my single 35" tire... my 29" stock tires should be an absolute blast out there...
