Lj New to jeep forum

Hey all,

My name is Chas, I am new to Jeeps and the Jeep Forums but not new to Offroading. I have lived off and on in Tucson for the past 2 years and have wheeled my highly modified 2010 Toyota Tacoma (you have probably seen it around town) extensively. I jsut bought a jeep because I didnt want to cut the front end off the tacoma to straight axel it.

I bought a 2004 LJ with 2003 Rubicon axels, lockers, and transfercase. It sits on a 4" RE short arm lift, 35/12.5R18 Toyo tires, and a few other odds and ends.

I am always looking to go wheeling and/or shooting. My history is prior military with extensize deployments, armorer, small arms instructor, designated marksman, and now shoot long range competitions. I am a weapons engineer in town as well so i get to blow things up for a living as well.

If anyone wants to get together just post up or let me know.

JEEP:

More pics and mods to come very soon...

My Toyota:

I am on the east side, closest major intersections are Golf links and Houghton.

We're visiting Tuscon Feb 14 and will be there for a three day weekend and would like to do some Jeepin on the weekend. Anyone want to meet up with us and show us around?

a little research shows some really nice trails out there...
Chivo Falls, Chimney Rock,
Box Canyon further north but needs a permit..
then trail damage has one that isn't in the book I'm using... Copper Creek

just to name a few that would be fun to do..

Mike (aka JKJeepit on other forums)
