I am going to be in Sedona over Christmas and would like to take a trail ride. I have never been offroad. I have a stock 2012 Sport. What would you recomend for me and the family. thanks for any help.

Wow, you're definitely in for a treat. I would recommend Soldier's Pass. The entry way is a bit rocky but you should be ok. Also Schnebly Hill is a great one and amazing views. Broken Arrow as well, however not sure how well you would do stock going down Devil's Staircase. But even with a stock JK you should have no problem finding lots of places to go in Sedona.

Thanks for the info. Looked online last nite and got some maps coming in the mail. All of my "off roading" time in my Jeeps has been up north in Michigan on two tracks in deep snow. Never been out west.

wells books work ok.

wheeling alone is risky, more so if you are new to it. in sodona though you would be hard pressed to be alone. the place is over run with pink jeeps(touring). watch out if it snows easy trails can become epic.

look up the trails or any trail you can name on YOU TUBE. About anything that can filmed has. give you an idea of how hard it is etc.

Not the same kind of snow as Michigan. Alot more unpredictable. But still fun.
