Out in the vicinity of Stoneman Lake...

And Montezuma's well...

I'd rather be lost on the trails than found at home!

Nice Pics!

We did a ride with the Cochise Range Riders on Saturday fromTombstone to the ghost town of Courland wich is on the other side of the mountains, east of Tombstone. Courtland was a mining town that had over 2000 people living there up until the '30's, with stores, an icecream parlor, jail, and even a car dealership. All that is left are some foundations, several ruins in the surrounding area, and the jail. We had 12 jeeps on the run and had a great day. We found the leaching tanks, with lots of tailings, which included a bunch of turquois, azurite, iron pyryte and other nice minerals. A great day.

These pics remind me that I haven't been in that area for quite some time. Cool pics.

Not too bad. Steep with loose rocks in spots. There was a couple stock wranglers that made it without too much trouble. You need a permit to go and they only allow 1 permit per week. 10 Jeeps per permit.

SSRx7....funny, we went out there yesterday. Went out Middlemarch, up Soren pass, scared the crap out of myself coming down from Soren pass, went through Pearce, shot down to Gleeson, back to Tombstone.

Have you been to Rattlesnake gifts in Gleeson? That place is awesome! Definetly worth a trip if you haven't been there.

Pics soon

Beauty is in the eye of the jeepowner.

We passed by the Rattlesnake shop on the way home, but didn't stop. Need to get back over there. Also would like to go up to China Camp and check that area out.
BTW, I'm gonna be doing the steps up on Ft Huachuca this Saturday (June 8)... You interested in going? We'll be meeting up at the gas station inside the main gate at 9am... I could meet you at the Shell in Whetstone at about 8:15 or so if you are interested....

Here is the event at Sierra Vista Offroad on FB: https://www.facebook.com/events/469340666487857/?ref=2

Let me know.
