I always wave and sometimes get a wave back. The wave usually always happens on both ends in Spokane, Washington were I am from. I was kind of disappointed when in Moab. Nobody waved back until my last day there and I got a wave. Maybe there are just to many rentals and they aren't aware of the wave. I am now in Sedona for a few days and the wave is alive and well here. Can't wait to get to Tucson and see if the wave is alive there. I will continue to wave as it is my duty to initiate as the newer Jeep!

Here's a little info on the Jeep Wave that my friend Matt Marine put together on his website, Experience Arizona: there is some humorous reading in it.

wave

yeah I noticed that too, a lot of people don't wave anymore, when I was up in flagstaff I waved all the time then people caught on and started to wave. then when I moved down to phoenix I was waving and it took 3 months but other jeepers started to wave too, it just takes time and a lot of patience, lol

I rated myself at 56. Not too shabby, but I lost points for top/windows on, on a warm day.

87. But only on account I played in the mud today, bent a rim and then got caught in a thunderstorm. Normally around 75 or so.

I got a measly 30... mostly because I never bother to wash it, and it still has mud from a trip in February.

no respect for my patriot.

Patience, Grasshopper... It's just not your time yet. There was a time when my 36 year old CJ was new too.

I'm just moving to Yuma, and I can assure you I will be participating in the Jeep wave regardless of response. Protocol or not, i usually initiate.

In all seriousness... just WAVE! If it isn't returned, just act like you were just trying to brush a mosquito away.

I wave with unabashed pride, if they don't wave they're the ***, not me.
