Dusy Ershiem 2015

Dusy Ershiem trail run.

date Aug13th, 2015.

This year will be Running the Dusy from North to South.

I rate this trail 3+ 4, but its about 35 miles. California rates it 9+/10. No matter its rough MIN> 33"s lockers, winch, 2 nights on the trail and 3 days of trail. MIN> have enough food for extra days as there is NO service and help is days away. Your jeep MUST be in good repair, need a U joint Do not wait to break out there. able to run at 10,000 feet for any carb guys out there.

I was not going to go again if the guys would have ran Fordyce, but that fell through. Dusy will save some cost anyway as Fordyce is longer to drive to. i can be in fresno in 8hr. it is a low cost vacation. compared to most, unless you flop it. my camp is basic like if you are back packing.

Date changed to. Aug14/15 is the start date now leaning to the 14th as first day on the trail. I never expect in the end more the an one person or two people to run this. it is remote and only open a few months each year. Its remoteness might be why i go back. I do not think you can get more remote in cali than this trail.

Well, most likely I have to work Fri. 14th and won't be off till about mid afternoon. Otherwise I could meet ya some where and say 'hi' at the least. But I presume you'll be up the mtn. or on the trail earlier on that day?

Hey Rock. Right now looks like AzSilver from the AZVJC is going. I have a club meeting for our Parker 4 wheelers next week and will see if any of them may want to run the Dakar, I mean the Dusy.

I am towing this year and i thinking i might just pay to park it at that PG&E camp site Trapper. Camped there before its not that much compared to say camping in shaver. leaving the truck on the road 5 days aint worth troubles.

We start about 8am at the south gate on 14th. I should be camping in trapper campground on the 13th will be there around 1pm. if i can get rolling early enough oput of here.

If for some reason this AZ dont show i have a B plan to run swamp in a day or two then run the north gate of the dusy to Ershiem and back out. camp a few days near swamp then a day up near the dusy north side.

If you can make it you are welcome.

I really need to do this one at some point. I can't afford to next month though.

Our next vacation/wheeling will be in the Tahoe area 2016 and more like in June. First on the list is Fordyce 2016, never been and the jeep is on a trailer. as well as a run to Moab this year once it cools off i think if a friend wants to do some sand stone.

Kinda far of but not really. Fordyce 2016. Class 10 rocks and its the real deal Az 4.5-5. 35"s min, locked, a winch. I putt this around a few clubs to see when might be best. springish?
