best time to vist AZ

i know this isn't jeep related, but thinking about making a trip out there in 2012, to check out the area, schools, places to live, etc. i'm still thinking if i want to bring the jeep out there or not. but, what is the best time of year to check out the area. i don't want to go when its snowing, or when all the tourist go. 60+ degrees for the days. will be near Prescott area.

Prescott is a 4 seasons kinda place, I enjoy all of them. For you i would come any time from spring to fall, yes there will be tourist but that's anywhere. there are lots of activities and fun things to do around here like Fishing from 1 of our 5 lakes, Lots of 4 Wheeling, mine exploring, Hot rod shows and runs, Art shows (if your in to that I'm not) Air shows, Hiking, hanging out at Whiskey Row, ect. you get the idea. If you bring your jeep let us know, a group I 4 Wheel with will take you out for the day.

Hope that helped a little.

Avoid the areas around Tucson and Phoenix between April and October.

Northern AZ around Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Williams, Sept-October are the best times. The weather is cool and dry. Most of the tourestas have gone home.
