Wj AZ Jeepers Weekend Run!

I was going to MOAB this weekend, for the Grand Slam West event, but can't for a number of reasons. I want to take my son out Friday and Saturday, though. I haven't decided where, but I'm thinking maybe some cool trails in Wickenburg one day and/or Sedona the next. Anyone up for it?

How about either Table Mesa or Florence Junction?

Plenty of nice trails in those areas.

Wickenburg isn't too rough of an area, well not the places I've been anyway. Over by the San Domingo Wash you could take a stock Jeep.

Well, in my Backcountry Adventures: Arizona book, the Table Mesa Trail is rated a 5, on a scale of 1 being easy to 10 being extreme. The description says: "Extremely pretty, moderately rated trail through classic desert scenery. Views of New River Mesa and the New River, and an interesting old line cabin are among the features." It goes on to say there are a few difficult areas, requiring high clearance and good off-road tires. Driving time is about 3.5 hours.

For some reason Florence Jct. isn't in the book...

Here are a couple of clubs that you could meet up with anytime they do a run:

This club sticks to pretty tame trails

These guys are a bit more hardcore
