Sweet! im going to try and make this a great experience for everyone. just a light off roading trip. nothing anyone should get stuck in. or even need 4x4. so it will be a bring the family kinda deal if anyone wishes to do so

April 30th is as of now the date for the drive. as this date draws near i will start calling the NPS of the area and get updates on the roads. So, for now if you are down to go along, reply to this thread or feel free to shoot me a PM. i will start making the list of whos actually going. then about a week or two beforehand i will get some phone numbers and email address' so we can set up a meeting point and such. i know a few people from here were interested in going, as well as a few from Expedition Portal. as it is i have WAY more people than can fit in my Cherokee that want to go with lol. like at least 10 friends from school and such.

so let me know, and by then i will hopefully have a CB in the jeep so i can lead and we can have someone in the rear with a CB to notify the leader if we need to stop etc. that kinda stuff. im really looking forward to this, if the weather is nice it may also turn into a overnighter trip for whoever wants to stay...

tomorrow i will be calling the Ranger District for the Mogollon Rim area to check on the roads status. the trip is in about 25 days.

logistical wise, we will be meeting in Camp Verde, i will find a location with a parking lot big enough according to the group size. we will drive east up 260 to 87 where we will drive about 1/4 mile and hang a right onto FR300.

we will break for lunch at Knoll Lake and then for those spending the night we will find a nice spot to stay then i will lead the rest of the group who arent staying down the rest of the road, once they are on their way i will return to camp, and the next day afternoonish the campers will pack up and head out.

PM me if you are going and i will get a list together with emails or phone numbers and such.

I see its been over a week since anyone has posted, just curious as to whats happening with this trip. I'd be interested in going. I've been camping up there a few times and been all over on my quad. Should be a nice trip just to get out of the city.

LOL. I want something with garage space, maybe an open yard, and outside of the suburbs. Didn't realize it would be this hard trying to find one in this area.
