I'm from Tucson but go to Parker Canyon Lake on the other side of the mtn from the base a lot. My "club/social group" off of Cityprofile.com is looking to plan a trip in that area and I am trying to learn some challenging trails. If you post up your runs on cityprofile I for one would join in. I'll also be hosting a jeepers bbq at my cabin at the lake this spring and will post it on cityprofile.

link is to our "social group" JFAZ 4WD thread about where to wheel next, but you can also just look at the Tucson page. While some of us are vets, I am not and would love to learn the on base trails that are open to the public. I go to Sunnyside from the west, but thats EASY

Well on one side is the mall, the other is a few places to eat and on the other side is Avenida Cochise. You shouldn't have to drive to do much shopping or eating.
