I haven't read the whole thread but did see guys talking about camping etc.... Last year we stayed at Ken's Lake campground in the group site, we had four RV's three tents, plus rigs and still had room. We went at the last week of April / first week of May (two weeks) and I ended up getting a motel for two nights when it started snowing and was in the teens and twenties. Just something to think about. We're trying to get about the same time this year, but I've got a camper this time.

Sparrows: Just sayin' you could probably talk me into loaning you my Willys trailer for this. One less expense you would have to have by then.

Thanks for the heads up!
I think what I'll do after this weekend (I don't have a ton of free time until Monday) is come up with a Plan A, B, and C. Break down the cost of each and that way we have options spelled out before March. That way if the weather turns foul or other such things, we have options already mapped out and there isn't a mad rush to figure out what to do.

Oh wow, thanks! I'll give you a call tomorrow if that works for you.

Cheers

Man I wish I could trailer my jeep up there. Even this 2 hr trip up north to go hunting is a bit brutal! 3rd gear, 4k rpm, 55mph gets rough I can yet fathom a 9hr drive

My TJ buddy with the 2.5/4.88s/35s followed me on the highway today. I couldn't hardly break 60 or I'd lose him

Well I didn't mean it like that, I was in my Duramax while towing my jeep. Just meant that even with deep gears highway can be tough with a 4 cyl.
