Yup, this^. I've been trying to keep the first post updated with current info. That is about the cheapest, closest place to camp and it still has amenities. I've been busy all week but I plan on calling monday and getting the details for the group sites, and see about reserving one now.

Cheers

Pack* Creek. That's sweet, we're a lot closer than I thought. I thought the campground was pretty far out of town until I looked at a map. We're within stumbling distance

I'm going to look into getting some shafts, but so far I have never broken one, what should I get?

I assume you have a d30 and d35? I would go to a junkyard and get a full set of shafts. A set of shafts at my local yard is $40. I had a set of spare shafts for my d30 and I've used them 3 times and the last time I broke one so I still need to get another. But it is VERY nice to have spare shafts.

I need some TJ shafts (and a set of spares) but junkyards around me suck. The only one with XJ won't sell the shafts separate from the housing.

Well if you don't have a set by the time this trip comes around let me know and I can go get you a set. My local yard always has 5 or 6 XJs and if by the off chance they don't I know a guy that parts XJs and he always has some bit they are a little more $$$

Let's plan on it. Let me know how much I owe you and I'll bring cash. Shafts with the 760x joint right?

I was thinking about getting Xj front shafts because I have the cad still, even though it's disabled. ZJ shafts work? Not many xjs in yards.

I could be wrong but don't all Cherokees have the 760 joint? If not I'll make sure it does..

But as of right now I'm not 100% sure I'm going to make it but I will know by the end of February. Right now my jeep doesn't have an engine/trans/ or tcase.. And I'm waiting for my tax return to build the new motor and trans. Feb is going to be a VERY busy month for me.

Damn, at least you're farther ahead than Sparrows

I've gotten conflicting info. I think earlier than 95 they had a CAD? And they had the smaller joints up through 95 from what I've read.

Well the donor XJ I had was a 93 and didn't have a CAD system but I'm not sure on the joint size but I will find out. Also my buddy's 92 XJ doesn't have a cad either so is don't thing any XJs have a CAD system.

My jeep would have been done and ready to rock if I didn't rush my last motor swap. I placed my SBC wrong and had to pull it.. Long story short now I'm building a 4.7ish stroker to drop in with an AW4.
