This is the view from Devils Crack on Moab Rim last Friday (March 1st) there were still some patches of snow at higher elevations and in shady (north facing) spots.
And here is a picture taken by the dinosaur tracks at Poison Spiders trailhead the same day.
My dad and I went down for a quick day trip just to enjoy the sun and hike around a bit. I was surprised at how many other people were out hiking on Moab Rim...never new. It was 54 degrees when we were there but on the rocks felt much warmer. Should be an excellent trip for you!
I haven't really laid out my schedule, as this is my father's first time down, and I'm not sure how much trailing he is up for. We will be there Friday (3/22) around noon. Maybe hit Hell's Revenge that afternoon/evening. Then Saturday, thinking Poison Spider, and maybe Metal Masher or Elephant Hill? We will leave the 23rd early evening.

FYI: this is Day 1 of the Jeep Safari, and the RR4W are leading guided runs on both Poison Spider and Metal Masher that day. There are still a number of openings for both runs, so for a scant $50 you can join the group and be assured of having a great experience (so long as your rig meets their requirements, of course).
