I saw a discussion on JF about this somewhere where a bunch of people were getting irriated at others for bringing back old posts and wanted a warning sign to come up stating that the thread is over 60 days since the last post and click ok if you still want to post. The people bringing back the posts were actually responding relevantly to the topic though. in that case Keith actually did state that as long as a post was relevant to the thread then he believes its fine to do no matter what age the thread is. The idea being to avoid having 30 post about the same thing just because the original thread is older. They would rather have them condensed into one thread.

Im torn on this one though. The original post made by the user in question is completely unrelated to the topic, but the discussion afterwards for the most part is and i have learned new things.

Edit: Just to clear up any confusion i agree that the threads being bumped the way they are is not the best practice and if they had been bumped with a more meaningful comment then just one letter then that would be more acceptable. Had they been bumped in a more acceptable manner i feel i would 100% be ok with it, even with the threads being as old as they are. Point being hrnyghost needs to bump these with actual comments and not just letters

The only reason the threads have turned into good discussion is because we have great active members. It has nothing to do with the guy bumping the threads. He's still annoying as hell.

I don't understand your reasoning. If that thread hadn't been bumped I would never have known about trails in price and wouldn't have planned a trip. Yes it's annoying but that doesn't discredit the fact that good discussion has resulted on topics he bumped. It can't be disputed no matter how annoying the poster is.

Agreed. My comment is not that i condone his actions in any way, shape, or form. Im just saying it cant be disputed that good discussion has resulted because of it regardless of the circumstances and i have benefitted from it.

Oh hey, 311LJohn... Long time no talk! Hope to see you on the trails soon. I honestly think the last time I wheeled with you was when you first bought the LJ and we were out at Li'l Moab.
