My father was an avid wheeler in the late 70's and early 80's and has a few boxes of old wheeling trinkets. I like some of the new stuff, but sometimes i think the old school heavy duty things are the best. So i was rummaging and found something cool. Ive seen new things somewhat similar, but not the same style and not as heavy duty.

Its a Collapsable shovel and Pick. If you look at the last pic, you can see the stickers are still kinda on there. The price tag says $6.99 and i was able to pick this up at the wonderful price of "'Free ninety nine"! Just mounted it to the hi lift with a couple of velcro straps. (I just realized i dont know how to spell velcro)

(Sorry, pic's are huge and dont feel like fixing it.)

That's pretty sweet! So do you keep your subs in the back when the top comes off??? are they bolted down? how do you keep them from getting wet???

Its just 1 12" sub. Not bolted (yet). The amp is underneath the rear seat. Usually the only time that the top is completely off is when i am actually wheeling. I take a tarp with me just in case i get caught in the rain. And When im not wheeling, i just rock the soft top and hard doors

Driving doorless with just the main part of the soft top was always my favorite...

And that shovel looks like it would fit right in your hilift handle, did you try it?

Ah I see. I'm trying to figure out how to mount mine so it won't walk away. I'm sure I can water proof it but if it's just going to walk away the first day I have the top off there's no point. We'll see

Replaced all five valve stems with rubber and got rid of the stupid sensors! Used an AEV Procal to kill the TPMS light and reprogram for actual tire size. Works like a champ! Also got rid of the stupid one touch turn signals and turned on day time running lights for an insurance discount. Played with the idle adjustment for winching. Using the Procal, I can turn my idle speed up for winching and stuff by turning the inside light dimmer switch up or down. It can take it up to 2000 rpm. This thing is simply awesome! I am no longer afraid to fill my tires with air now! Stupid sensors. I broke like three of them since owning the JK. Anyone want to buy four perfectly good TPMS sensors?

Tried AGAIN to get the parking brake working. Got it all assembled and gave the handle a yank and broke the damned cable clean the **** in half.

Tina can tell you, I was (and still am to a degree) quite ready to selling the damned thing. I'm getting tired of sinking money into it, working on it, looking at it and not able to drive it!!! I wanna go wheeling for **** sake!!

I am sorely tempted to just put it up for sale and the first person to come along with $3000 will have a great little trail rig. Then go out and buy a ZJ like I should have to begin with. The CJ just makes absolutely NO sense when you consider I have a family. It also makes no sense when you consider if I wanted to go wheeling (or even for a drive) outside Utah county I would need a truck and a flatbed to get there!!!

Gawd, why did I buy this stupid thing? I'm an IDIOT!!
