These are good ones from a company in California with a GREAT warranty. My friend knows the company and he has them in his zj headlights and his fogs. His friend has them in his Lj..

So, how about a UJC group buy for some HID's? I am sure there are plenty more in the crew that would appreciate some better than stock lighting!

So that's at least 5(?) already. I am sure Darren would appreciate an HID conversion if his electical system can handle it? Unsure if that's even possible. And what about you John? Your lights are stock as well aren't they? Ask 'em could ya John? See if it's a possability then you could post a poll thread of those that would for sure put up for some gear. Then we could see if they would be willing to get us in! They could be our official UJC sponsor that...we............pay? Or we could be theirs!

I managed to modify almost every piece to get my parking brake mounted and operational only to find out I have the wrong rear output yoke on my transfer case.

So my parking drum only covers half of the shoes and the slip joint on my rear drive shaft is fully compressed.

So I need to order the correct yoke, get it delivered, take everything I did today back apart, change the yoke and then put it all back together again.

Oh, I also refurbished my hood latches. Took them off, hit them with a wire wheel and painted them gloss black. Lubed them up with Zoom Spout and put them back on.

Also mounted the outside mirror in a better place so that I can actually see it when the doors are on.

Put my plates on (that still read 6/09 expiration) from the ZJ.

Tried to figure out where I want to mount the Cobra 75WX and where I want the plug and mic hanger to go. Also tried to figure out where I want to put the mag light clips.

So much work to do and so little time.

Gave serious thought to trading it off for a ZJ. Wife talked me out of it (for now).

Well, after reviewing a couple more exploded view diagrams, come to find out I DON'T have the wrong yoke. My dumb *** put it all together wrong.

I put the drum onto the yoke then bolted the drive shaft to the assembly. Turns out I was supposed to take the yoke out of the transfer case and put it THROUGH the drum and then bolt the drive shaft to the yoke. So it's supposed to go drum-yoke-drive shaft. I had it yoke-drum-drive shaft. So no wonder the drum was 1/2" too far back and it compressed the drive shaft so much!!

Lesson for you all - when attempting something you're not 100% sure of, double check how things go together before you start grinding bits off to MAKE them fit...

drove it 300 miles yesterday on pavement, followed by another 40 on dirt.
drove another 60+ on dirt today, followed by a return trip of 300 miles.

also hit 180k miles on the way home today; now that the break-in period is done for my 4.0, can i start the real wheeling??
