Well after a little research, it's going to be pretty darn tough to de-throne John on this one. I'm surprised no one has beat me however!

That's a pretty cool contest. I can't even think of a place that is drivable much above 10k feet in Utah....at least not off the top of my head. where were you at John?

What does the pass before Mirror lake on hwy 150 hit?

We camped at a little over 10k plus one night on our trans Utah trip this year, but I don't think it was 10,700 and I don't think the roads went much higher, if any.

edit: I just did some research. It looks like there are some dirt roads that hit 11,300 in central utah. I may have to go check them out next summer.

Yes there are

I was on some of them this past summer, but wasn't a member of the crew yet so didn't know about the contest

I was at fish lake...

Also maybe we should have a king each year! So at the end of the year we'll start over fresh!

CO > UT when it comes to elevation. This was back in 08 but I was there again this past July.

Over the mountains and through the woods, across the stream and up the slickrock, down the canyon and over the rocks to nobody's house I go.

Nice! Ur in the lead..

I don't think we'll have a new thread. We should just have a list in the first post of winners for each high low and year..
