Talking Utah JeepCrew King of the Mountain

Ok, here are the rules to this game:
  1. You have to be an official member of the Utah JeepCrew by joining the social group on JF
  2. Only entries that take place within the borders of the state of Utah are permitted
  3. You must have or use a GPS or other device that can accurately measure altitude (feet above sea level)
  4. You must take a picture of your Jeep at the elevation location and you must also take a picture of whatever device you are using to measure your altitude. The altitude reading must be clearly visible in the photo. These photos must be posted in this thread.
  5. No photoshop or manipulation of the photo is allowed.
  6. You must post the date, location, and altitude of where the photo was taken.
  7. No cheating!
The 2010 Utah Jeep Crew King of the Mountain is:

John aka 311WJ
at 10,709 feet above sea level!

And I had a thought to make this even more fun! Let's ALSO see who can find the LOWEST altitude in Utah! All the same rules apply...

The 2010 Utah Jeep Crew Low Rider is:

Matt aka 00JGC00

at 4,905 feet above sea level!

The current Utah Jeep Crew King of the Mountain is:

Andy aka Boreal
at 7,886 feet above sea level!

And I had a thought to make this even more fun! Let's ALSO see who can find the LOWEST altitude in Utah! All the same rules apply...

The current Utah Jeep Crew Low Rider is:

Matt aka 00JGC00

at 4,905 feet above sea level!

Heck, if you went and took a picture of your Jeep in your driveway with your GPS as well, you'd be officially winning and I'd put your name in the first post! I'm going to do it when I get home because my house is actually pretty high. lol.

As long as you have something to read the altitude and you take a pic of it with your Jeep, it doesn't matter where it is!

Ok, well take a pic with the reading on your watch and your Jeep and then you're good. (Then you gotta post the pic).

Wish I'd had an altitude reading GPS when I went to go rescue that fool last year. I drove up for almost 30minutes AFTER passing the 7000ft sign...

Crap, I should've taken my GPS to John's driveway and I would be winning right now!

I'm not telling anyone here untill I can do it with pictures and readings, but I have had my jeep at approx. 9,500 ft. Though, to tell the truth, here in Utah these mountains are only really about 5,000 ft. If you have ever been standing at the base of a 10,000 ft mountain, then you would see what I am talking about.

All the elevation signs on i15 south of me are over 6000.. Same with solder summit.. And the utah valley is 4500 so the mountains have to be higher than 5000.. Mt Nebo and mt timp. ain't no 500 foot mountains lol there's a timberline on timp...

You're right, they are technically 10,000 foot mountains. However, as you said yourself, you are already at 5,000 feet. So, visually, these mountains are only 5,000 foot hills. In my opinion. If you have ever stood at the base of a 10,000 foot plus mountain from 200-300 foot elevation, you would be able to see the drastic difference. Again, my opinion, but a visual fact. These are just not mountains to me...
