I am too actually. I usually only eat it if it came from the ocean. Mmmm, king crab....

If anyone wants to eat what I catch you can have it, otherwise I'm letting them all go.

Not yet, I was going to give it to the end of the week before I pinned things down. The more I think about it the more I think Utah Lake would be the best choice for proximity and I know we can have a fire there. Silver Lake I'm not so sure.

If we are talking about silver lake flat up AF canyon there is some camp grounds once you cross the stream on the north side of the lake that would have fire spots.

It was a Jeep thing, but all that stuff broke

We'd have to pay for use of the campsite I imagine?

The other thing to consider is how hard will it be for others to find where we are (for those who only want to come to the campfire)?

ahhhhh, I hadn't thought about that. I think either lake is gonna' have that same problem. it shouldn't be that hard to find a buch of Jeeps around a big fire. I don't know how tucked away Silver Lake is though?

Silver lake flat in AF is free camping last I was up there. It's similar to the road you take to mineral basin. First come first served on campsites.

It was a Jeep thing, but all that stuff broke

that sounds pretty good, if some are heading up early for fishing it shouldn't be an issue to grab a few spots for later that night.

Staple some paper signs up if it's that far in the woods. I've never been down that way, so I have no idea what it's like.

I don't know if these are out of the question but looking up the fishing reports today: Strawberry, Thistle Creek, and Spanish Oaks all show for good fishing. No report on Silver, and Utah Lake is good but for carp, catfish, crappie, and bass.
