That is the plan. As long as there weren't complications with his baby born this morning (he won't answer my texts... imagine that) then he should be at work Thursday to finish it up. Did he talk to you about spraying instead of dipping in the primer? That was his suggestion and I agree. That stuff is known to run when dipped.

We did speak about it but i was thinking dipping will get into all the corners and such way better than spray, and i could always sand the runs in the primer down.

my metal has been cut! a big thanks to Carl (I Lean on RME) for cutting it for me. hopefully I can get it welded together soon!

When you get it put together I wanna see! Does it require cutting the top of the stock bumper out for the winch (like most bumpers the winch sticks out the top) or since its down on the crossmember is it completely concealed?

most of the new winches have removable solenoid boxes to relocate the box under the hood or wherever you want. the only thing is the control lever.. the winch I'm buying can be "re-clocked" to point the handle down.

Got going on the XJ bumper the other day...here are the brackets I made and the bumper progress so far...once I finish weld and paint I will post up more pictures.

Nope, no build thread...it's going to be pretty mild (just re-gearing / locking the stock HP30 and 8.25...4.5" lift etc) so it would just be a repeat of several others I'm sure!
