Yeah, it is deceptive. I need to take a pic of it next to the jeep to show how HUGE it is.

The superduty's are great towing vehicles, I would love to have one.

Haven't updated in a while...

Close up of the dovetail. I didn't get a pic of the 3 bolts used to mate the ramp to the bed on the top side... there are 3 nuts welded to the inside of the bed where the bolts connect, and another 2 smaller nuts on the outside of the bed where you can rest the ramps while starting the bolts. Undo the 3 bolts and the hitch pin on the bumper, and the whole ramp will just pop off.

This is a little piece of 1"x1" tubing that helps transfer a little of the weight (especially during loading). Also visible is a long piece of 3"x3" tubing welded under the bed to strengthen it. I've seen similar setups where the flatbed has significant flex in it when the rig is loaded... we were trying to avoid that.

Still to come are reverse lights on the headache rack, airbags, relocating the license plate, ball cam, and finish wiring the trailer light plug near the passenger taillight (one coming out of the hitch is going bye bye).

Posted this in a different thread, but here's a crappy pic of the Jeep loaded the first time.

You sure aren't wasting any space on that flatbed that's for sure.

The cops in Grand or Utah county will be all over your license plate

I figured as much. It's moving to the center spot between the hitch and those 3 round red lights when I put the air bags on. The schraeder valves used to fill the bags double as the "bolts" that hold the license plate.

Do you think I'll need to add a license plate light after I move it? I'm guessing so, but the fewer holes I have to drill in the bed, the better

Only if your county will fail your safety. Legally you need one but you usually won't get stopped unless they are looking for something..
