Looks like you could do a little rock crawling around the perimeter there.

Over the mountains and through the woods, across the stream and up the slickrock, down the canyon and over the rocks to nobody's house I go.

Antelope Island is a good one, only 1 land passage in or out, fires on the west side can't be seen from any city, migratory bird stop, buffalo.

Yellowstone would be another good place. Low population, lots of hunting, and plenty of things for the occasional walker to just fall into (would boiling acidic water have any effect on a walker?).

All you guys planning to do a lot of driving need to learn to refine oil and dirty gas, cause you only have about 6 months before it all expires.

If the power's out, you better have a way to siphon it from the underground tanks first.

Or an electrician with you that's used to jury-rigging things to get them to work.

Also helps if he has enough wattage on hand in inverters to power a medium sized house...

Any fresh water available on Antelope?

As far as getting fuel out of the ground, 12v fuel pump and a car battery

I'm a fan of diesel over unleaded since with stabilizer it is good for 10 years give or take.
