I've got my EMP proof vehicle, too. And considering I can get it started with 8 D-cell alkaline batteries and a little shove, even if the wet cell battery was smoked in the EMP, I'm still running.

The only thing I don't particularly like about my CJ is the fact that in case of walking dead I'm almost completely exposed. Sometimes there are disadvantages to a soft top.

Antelope Island, or Moab. Maybe we should go to Antelope first get our meat, then have a convoy to Moab an set up camp there !

We are constantly shooing deer out of my parent's back yard. Plus we're surrounded by sheep and turkeys. No shortage of meat here

The nice thing about Moab is we can stay well out of reach of the town but were still close to a place to get gas and supplies if we need to go on supply missions...

Yeah, my first priority in this kind of situation is to get as far away from populated areas as quickly as possible. Antelope Island would require me either to drive through the worst part of the state (and that's when it's normal). I don't think my little trailer could haul enough ammo for me to make it. Or I would need to drive around through Tooele.

I like the idea of Moab. I would have to get my hands on a truck to tow the Jeep and trailer down there, though. No way I'm going to drive the Jeep all the way down there. Besides the wear and tear on a vehicle that's old enough to collect Social Security, it would take me almost a month to get there. And I would have to hope and pray that one of you would know chiropractic adjustments to enable me to walk again...

How about in the middle of the spiral jetty? Plenty of time to see the walkers as they spiral around towards you.

Moab would be good too. Perpetual Easter Jeep Safari anyone?

Speaking of ammo...anyone know a reliable source for 9mm and .45acp reloads?

Lake City makes good stuff. They're usually once fired and pretty cheap, especially at the gun shows. I get 500 rounds of .40 for ~$120. At least I think that's reasonable
