I am game for anything, but would like to run Cliffhanger if WJWheelin is able to make it out for a day.

There's at least one groupon deal for a hotel in Moab...not sure if it'll cover Thanksgiving or not, I didn't read the details.

Cliffhanger would be fun. I tried to create a profile on UT4x4 (suprisingly another one I am not on yet...) but I couldn't. The challenge question wouldn't let me pass.

They didn't seem to be very open to runs with additional people, at least Zubicon felt that way. I ran MM in '09 with Utah4x4 and had a good time. Maybe we'll see them on the trail.

LOL! Just read his response. What a d-bag. "more rigs = more mechanical problems...i want to get back home and sit on my butt in a condo"

I want to respond "Ok just do that up here, why go to Moab?"

Alot of forums out there are that way though. Even RME has alot of these "Old Timers" on it that really put me off some times. Just the other day one of them posted something along the lines of "Theres alot of newbies in here trying to act like they are somebody when they arent"

I was like "WTF?" I met the guy just a few days prior and he seemed alright in person but after that comment im not so sure.

Ive had similar problems on Utah4x4. Makes me glad we have this forum as i personally think its friendly to new-comers and old timers alike, albeit we do harass each other a bit

He sounds like an interesting guy to meet. I'll try to stay open minded and give him the benefit of doubt.

Back on topic - I have the entire week off for Thanksgiving. I might actually have things ready to go with a few days to spare for a change. Are you coming down Brian?

Yeah gotta keep open minded. Well I already have the days off work, I have the gas money, I can't leave til Thursday afternoon though since part of the deal with me going down in october was i would go to thanksgiving up here. At that point I don't think it's worth it

I won't be running any trails until Friday anyways, it will just be a short trip for us. I think that Moab over thanksgiving is going to be a new tradition for me though, It is nice to get out and enjoy.

We are headed down Wednesday morning. Will probably spend Wednesday afternoon and Thursday hiking around one of the parks. I assume the plan is Golden Spike on Friday?

Black04WJ - Are you still planning on coming down?
PlrBear - IIRC, thanksgiving in Moab is your tradition. Will you be there?
WJWheelin - I will send him a text to see if he will join us, and to get more info about possible snow on trails.

Everyone else, lets wheel. Make plans and come on down!

We'll be there! Going down Wednesday morning returning Sunday.

Travis - what are your plans Thursday? I was thinking about heading to Tusher Tunnel, but nothing set in stone.
