Right?
I drove mine out here from Oklahoma (via KS). And that was a 4-banger...agreeing 110% with the headwinds comment.

Welcome! Another mass-hole, eh? I'm originally from Cape Cod. You'll find most people around here won't do the wave, haha. Hope you get the jeep back in good order soon!

I already noticed the people dont do the wave. Ouch.

I think the transfer case is fine. Front shaft don't spin when engaged.

I admit I'm not good at the wave. Not sure how it is back east but seems like everyone and their dog has a jeep out here. If I waved to all of them I'd never have my hands on the wheel. When I do wave to the more built rigs I get nothing.

Back to your issue, you said the front driveshaft doesn't spin when you are in 4wd? That would definitely mean a tcase issue. Unless you mean something else?

It was a Jeep thing, but all that stuff broke

I set the tcase in 4H and checked the front driveshaft while parked. It does not spin however it does spin freely while in 2H.

Ok so with that info we can assume the tcase is engaging fine, so that really only leaves the CAD being at fault. You said earlier you did away with the vacuum system? Im going to assume you didnt posi-lock it but did something that permanently engages the fork? If thats the case i would take a look at that to be sure the fork isnt busted, come loose, or something like that.

I wave to other jeeps all the time. I figured they weren't waving back because I'm a girl.

As the driver of a stock JK, I do the same thing.

Oh, no worries, I know exactly what you mean. I did the same thing when I had a YJ, I do the same thing now in the JK, and its the same thing with newer Vettes, they usually don't get it.
