As long as the trails are open I will be cracking the top/doors off and doing Mineral Basin! all are welcome! If you are interested just let me know! thanks guys!!
We will be meeting at Chevron @ 8:30 leaving at 9.
As far as recommendations for the trail, all I will say is that it is no walk in the park trail. I know basically everyone is familiar with the trail so I will not go into requirements or anything like that! However it would be helpful for everyone to have a CB so we can communicate if the group needs to stop or anything like that.
By the sound of things this is going to be a very wet trip so plan accordingly, as of 5-23-14 it sounds like the trail is basically a river.
I was thinking pack a lunch or grab something at Chevron and half way through or so on the trail we will find a good place to pull off and enjoy a bite before continuing on with the trail.
We are tentatively planning on going up with the "ChickenHawk" and my quad. Women wants to wheel the Trailhawk and I will follow/lead spot her on my quad..Probably roll up with Ericon and that crew! Should be interesting with the Hawk, nervous as hell but need and want to get it out Will we be the only one with a Grand, looks like most of the rigs are real Jeeps, TJ's/JK's, etc. Be great to meet ya guys though

I probably won't be making it out... plans to get a Jeep have been delayed, I was planning on having one a month ago, but just now am selling my car, so I will probably be buying on monday or tuesday, and so it won't be built for a couple weeks :/ unless I buy an already built one, in which case I will take it out to see what issues it has
my used steering box I swapped in has a bad leak so I might need to swap my old one back in before I mount skid plate and go out anywhere. with my wife's crazy schedule next week it might be a while.
don't want to be that dick on the trail marking my territory every time I stop

Wife said to come down off the fence. Still wanting to camp, would rather head up sat and stay thru mon, but can settle for sun and mon since I don't know the area.
Well I just called pleasant Grove forest services, for those of you planning on camping it I suggest you take plenty of fire wood and warm clothes. Apparently still a lot of snow up there
I Just watched a video, didn't look too bad. couple rougher spots. but looked like line choice made a huge difference. alot of water crossings though. ( according to couple people on here should be snowy. lol)
There will be snow, some water crossings and some areas where the trail has become a river. Most areas have bypasses but there is one off camber spot you are forced to go through that's a bit hairy. The rock garden also may be pretty gnarly since no one has been up there yet to move rocks off to the side as tends to happen gradually through the season. Also the ditch near the top that people weren't supposed to drive in, but do anyway, has become so large it's overtaken the trail to the point you most likely will have to drive into it and make the climb out the other side. No big deal when it's dry, but it will likely be slippery mud. Chances are though you won't make it that far, or have to turn around there anyway due to snow drifts if the past few years hold true.
I was going to say I would come, but you explanation of a spring run up there has nixed that. I'll wait until it's dryer up there. I don't want to be the big whimp that can't get past all the obstacles.
