Tj I think I'm gonna buy a Jeep again...

Well, I may be officially crazy. I joined a while back with a WJ. Lifted it 6.5 inches, daily drove it,wheeled it, and had nothing but problems out of it. Long story short I sold it for a Mustang GT this summer. Big mistake, the mustang is fun (and I've modded it a good bit) but I miss jeeping!! So badly that I've decided I'm going to buy another Jeep, and sell my mustang! That'll be my fifth vehicle in 3 years... but I think a Jeep TJ is just what I've been looking for so come february or so, I'll be back! I never got to wheel with you guys but I'd really like to, and I look forward to getting a new jeep and getting wheeling again!!

Here are some pics of my WJ and my current ride, everyone I know is telling me I'm crazy to sell it for a TJ but I LOVE JEEPS!

Oh and it's the premium so leather seats etc. But I'm trading to a wrangler than can barely hit 70 mph I hit 70 mph in second gear in this car, 105 at the top of third...

That sounds fun, I had a beefed up '71 mustang a couple of years back. it was pretty fun but Utah winters forced me to sell it.

I'm sellin the muscle car to own a jeep! And we can join the UJC WJ to TJ/LJ club! I'm taking it back to stock and selling all my mods, and wheel and tire setup then selling it as stock. I got a screamin deal on it so I should be able to come out on top or only lose $500 or so from sales tax I paid on it. I got all my mods on the cheap too, either on sale or used, so I should be able to make most of my money back, plus I have some savings money, and I'll get my tax return right when I'm looking at getting a jeep too, should all come together well! Oh and it's a NIGHTMARE in the snow with 4.10's and all the power, and summer tires.

I took my moms 2013 durango on some local hills when I was visiting home yhis mornibg because I miss jeeping so bad I'll post some pics lol

What are you looking for in particular? Year, Trim, etc... I've also been looking for a TJ/LJ off and on the last bit. I need to sell my F350 first but I might have a line on a seller in the next couple of days.

Lookin for a d44 rear with limited slip, and A/C, annd not yellow or teal lol. Preferably under 100k miles but that's not a for sure thing. Those are my only requirements.. Some with 70k look like they've been to hell and back, and some with 110k look pristine so mostly looking for a clean one. I'd have to get a decently low milage and a good price to justify a d35 and swapping it like a month later lol.

I plan a 4 inch lift and 35's, regearing, and limited slip rear at least, and possibly a locker for the front. not sure yet though!

Good to know! So as long as it's not an x it could have a d44. If I can't find one with a d44 I'm still debating on a 8.8 or finding a d44 or a super 35... so hopefully I just find a d44 equiped tj

I heard that some of the 06 X's has some D44's in the rear but they were all Late builds

I'll ask the owners before I go look, one with a d44 already in it would save me $1000... ECGS's bolt in 8.8 will cost me about $1000 before gears, I could pull one out of a jy for $200 and a bracket kit for $300 but I don't have a welder, so I could either get lucky and find a d44 locally in a jy or classifieds, or swap a 8.8, oorrr find one with a d44 already in it. Anyone know of someone who could weld up a truss/bracket kit for me?
