Help on Installing Leaf Springs

Hi all,

I have had a real hard time trying to get my old leaf spring off my 96 XJ.
It's my DD, and I don't have the proper tools other than my ratchet, and a can of PB.

So I wonder if people here have the experience and would like to give me a hand, help me to put on my old man emu.

I'm willing to pay for your help, if it's within my buddget.
just PM me how much.

Thanks a lot, I need to get them on!!!

Where you located at? Im on mobile so it doesn't show. Is the rig driveable currently or apart at your house? What's the issue your having with the springs?

Thanks for the response.
Yes, I can go to your location. Just need to mount my shocks, which I can do.

I can get the bolts off, front and rear.

And, I got an angle grinder, so I'm not shy from cutting off the rear. But the front with the weld nuts gives me hell of a headache.

I'm in salt lake.

first, good luck. mine fought me for a while until i got them out with an impact, prybar and neighbor.

not sure what issue is since you say you have bolts off, front and rear?

you're most likely going to screw up the front bolts so bad you can't re-use them so swing by a junkyard and get some off a grand cherokee's front suspension. don't forget to get new u-bolts also since you'll break those off also.

good news is you picked a holiday weekend to do this.

Typo I CAN'T get the bolts off.
U not so worries about the rear since I don't care about a little cutting, but the front... Oh Gee.

Well, I was fancying about hitting trails over te holiday, now it's going no further than my front porch.
