I've never bought a gun at the local show for that reason. It's nice to be able to see so many makes and models under one roof and to handle all of them. I have bought mags there and sometimes ammo is as cheap at the show as it is online, plus you save on shipping.
I have a .45 Taurus Millennium Pro. It was cheap, I paid $320 for it. Its fun to shoot and packs a punch. You won't win Top Shot with it, but I have it mostly for self defense reasons. I replaced my ADT security sign in my front yard with a sign that states "nothing in this house is worth diying for".
All this gun talk really reminds me how much i don't know about different types of guns. I need to get out and shoot more!
I have a Ruger P94 that I have been very happy with. It was under $400, and I have probably shot around 3k shells through it.
A buddy of mine has the same one and he showed it to me yesterday. Seems like a nice all-around handgun.

Good questions. I gotta deliver that dually bed to 13th South sometime in the morning and I have a Black Ops LAN party at 6:30 (I know... nerd alert) in American Fork. Sometime between I'd like to get the tires on my truck balanced, but that shouldn't take long if I make an appointment.
Hey John.... can I drop off my RROD xbox and a little green and let you work your magic?
