has anyone here installed a damn mechanical oil pressure gauge on their 4.0? I have never done it and people just keep saying..... "Well just go buy a cheap one and throw it on buddy, and see what is wrong with your oil pressure." Do you just go pick one off the shelf and it fits universally into the sending unit hole? I'm getting just a little bit frustrated with this. Some people "T" off of the hole and run both gauges, how does this work? where do you get a "T" for the hole? etc. etc. etc.

Go with Stewart Warner gauges. Or the brand at NAPA. The T fitting will be available at NAPA as well. I don't remember if the 4.0 uses SAE or metric for the sending unit but both will be available.

Just be careful where you route the little plastic tube. They are easy to break and it's a horrific mess when all your oil comes spraying out of it.

Ask me how I know this...

Brady managed to kill my. Dead blow hammer today . He was knocking out a bolt and we saw dirt start to fall thinking it was residue from this winter , We were wrong it ended up being the hammers internals. imageuploadedbyautoguide1373771042.775147.jpg

i bought a mechanical gauge and installed it, but I could not get the T-fitting to work. I ran the mechanical gauge and it never dropped below 20 pounds at hot idle. Installed the sender unit and it fell to 0 at hot idle. I took the old sender back to the parts store and they gave me a new one. I put it in and there doesn't seem to be any issues.

I didn't really read the info on that program, I thought they were electronic "badges" like xbox achievements. Damn!

I slapped some magnets on the back of those badges and make some slick looking fridge magnets

Haha well I only got one of each except poison spider and I'm a very symmetrical guy. Jeep needs to be basically the same on both sides so badges on one side and not the other wasn't cutting it for me. This is the fridge in my garage/shop though so its jeep related
