I almost have my CJ7 totally put back together from the Rattlesnake run a few weeks ago. Just need to finish up a couple small things on it but I'm headed down to Moab tomorrow morning with a guy from work and his bro-in-law. He just gave me the itinerary and it looks like we are tentatively going to run Strike Ravine on Thursday, Poison Spider and Fins on Friday and Steel Bender on Saturday before heading home that night. Should be fun.

If anyone here gets the itch feel free to come down and hit the trails with us. I'll be in my '83 CJ7 and the other rig with us will be a '12 JKUR. We are going to be camping out off "Behind the Rocks," as I guess there are some fins out there that provide some good shade. The weather looks fantastic.

The recall will be to bring in your WJ and trade it for a JK. Not sure how else to remedy the gas tank location

It was a Jeep thing, but all that stuff broke

I already lifted my tank 7 inches + the 6 inch suspension lift. It would take something pretty tall to not just slide under. And my rig is probably exempt from any future recalls due to said modifications.

It seems like once every 6 months this comes up again, The Ford Pinto of our day...
Thick tank skid + Protofab = no worries for me.

Chrysler basically told the NHTSB to shove the recall. It's gonna be interesting to see what happens next.

This same issue comes up every year, I don't think anything will happen.

I guess the the past though, it has just been media reports and lawyers trying to create an outrage. But the numbers don't seem to justify any action.

^^^^ thanks. I'm still here on day 2. I will be leaving tomorrow, wife staying longer and baby possibly staying even longer. Untill he gets his o2 levels up to where they need to be for 48 hours before they think about letting him leave.

Man, all you people have "normal" jobs with "normal" weekends.
I only have Mondays and Tuesdays off.

That's not true. I have one normal job that gives me Saturday and Sunday off. But then my night job I work Friday through Monday. So I only have three weeknights and Saturday day off.
