I wish gas was this cheap when I made this trip. I moved to Washington DC that summer gas was well over $6 a gallon.. in my WJ. man that was expensive!

I drove I70 there and I80 back.. definitely go the I70 route.. I dove mine both times in a straight shot. alone. man was it a little boring.. thank goodness for a CB and chatty Semi drivers. ha ha

good luck, be safe (especially on Highway 6 in Utah (i70 to i15) and we'll see you here on this side.

Not really. It use to be the deadliest highway in the country. Mainly from head on crashes and stuff. But with the changes over the last 10 years (wider road and more lanes) it has become a lot better. I drive it all the time and have never had an issue. Just drive alert and you'll be golden.

I drive it almost weekly and have never had a problem. Just watch for deer and coyotes on the road

The canyon on highway 6 is the worst. I hate driving it and try to avoid it at nights if possible. Too many close calls with stupid drivers, animals, snow/ice on the roads, etc...

Plus the fact my sister went to school in price and on Halloween night her 3 roommates were driving that canyon back to Provo. They had driven it thousands of times too but something happened and they went off the road. All 3 died.

That canyon gets my full respect each time in drive it.

I'd never heard that. I can see how it could be if it was only 1 lane each direction. People do stupid things even now, with enough room.

The fiancé wants too take rt 70 from Pennsylvania to Indianapolis and I-80 from Iowa to Utah lol. I could care less I just wanna get to Utah already.

Is there anything you guys could complain about when it comes to your state?

I'm Mormon and, well, sometimes the Mormons kinda get to me.
They're weird out here.

My main gripe is the amount of moronic drivers who will shoot across 4-5 lanes of traffic at 70mph when they Are 100' from the exit they need to take.

^I'm not Mormon, but yeah a little of that. Non-Utah Mormons are different from Utah Mormons, too.

Yeah, there's no Yuengling or Fat Tire.

You're going to hate that ENTIRE stretch of I-80. Sorry man.
