First time in Moab around 20th

So I will be traveling through the area on that time and have a problem I am towing my jeep and I have a truck camper and would like to go an easy trail like potash road or something like that, but I have two cats and a dog that it is getting hard to find something to do with them for the couple hours I would be on a trail. Do you guys have any ideas on what I can do and also does anybody want to go with me? Most of the hotels won't let you leave pets in their rooms unattended which of course makes sense to me.
