Easter Jeep Safari 2010 "Mar 27 - April 4"

So who is coming this year? It can be for either Jeep Safari or just to wheel around the same time period not part of Jeep Safari. Last year Me, Jevon "Idaho-Jeep" on this forum, Kurt "kurtfriedrich" on this forum, Jason "GMC7000" on this forum and others all got together and did some trails runs. We did not go as part of EJS, we just got together picked a trail and went. It was a blast So far this year Me, Jevon and Kurt are planning some days wheelin' together again and are looking for more people to join us. Also we are planning on doing around 2 days of official EJS trail rides so anyone from here that's going to Jeep Safari let us know what trails you are planning on and maybe we can end up in the same group.

Check out Jevon's Trail reports from last Year

I'm hoping to go back to Moab this year but won't be there around EJS. I'm hoping to be there either the week before or the week after the 4th of July. Spending 4thof July week in Ouray and will make it over to Moab if I am able to get 2 weeks vacation at the same time.

Cliff - if I make it out there I might hit you up to see if you want to go wheeling.

Count me in. Any of the trails will be fine with me. This sounds like it will be a blast. Would it be ok if a JK tags along with us? If he can.
Do you have to have your own paper, or can you just make a copy of the entry form from someone elses paper before they fill it out?

JKs are allowed - but the owners will be teased.

I have a paper on the way. You can make copies of the entry form - just don't shrink it.

I may have one on the way. I faxed in the request but never got an email confirming it like my dad did. I will just make a copy of his.

Lets start a schedule of days that we can edit as we get closer. We will need to get our trail picks for EJS in a few weeks too and this will help us figure out what trail and what day... I don't have a paper yet so I don't know what trails are available when... Dax - do you have a paper yet?
Sorry late night at work! That is a good start! Yes I do have the paper.

Haha Yeah I know what you mean! It took me like an hour and a half to type that.

Here are copies of the Registration Forum. These are NOT the correct size due to photobucket resizing everything. Please re size to 6.5" wide x 8.9" high before printing or these forums will NOT be valid.

Okay guys I edited the trails/dates to coincide with the EJS schedule - see 2nd post in this thread. I tried to pick trails that Dax and I were most interested in - so if someone else would really like to hit a trail let me know and maybe we can switch something. Im probably not up for any "7", "8" or "9" rated trails though. My wife will be riding along more this year and Im pushing my luck with "5" & "6" rated trails with her. As it is Im sure she will get freaked out and want to exit the Jeep or just close her eyes both of which she does on occasion.

Let me know what days/trails you can and want to do so we can determine who and when.

I am liking the selection so far Jevon! Lets see if others have any input / suggestions. The only other 2 we were considering were Cliff Hanger & Golden Spike but if you don't want to do 7s then that eliminates Golden Spike. But we do have to have a good mix of easier and harder trails so I do really like your list. What does everyone else think?

Seems like I can do monday and tuesday as well. Esp if our wives are not too freaked out on monday. Looks likes tuesday's trail has some cliff and edges?

what is the talk in this thread about "getting papers"? Do I need to register for EJS even if we are not running with them?

I booked a room at Sleep Inn Moab for Sun, Mon, Tues nights

thanks.

Seems like I can do monday and tuesday as well. Esp if our wives are not too freaked out on monday. Looks likes tuesday's trail has some cliff and edges?

what is the talk in this thread about "getting papers"? Do I need to register for EJS even if we are not running with them?
It does seem Flat Iron Mesa has some edges but I don't know how far the drop is... that's one I haven t ran. EJS prints and mails out a yearly EJS news paper telling you all about the event, the schedule of trails, registration etc. You do not need to register with them if you are not going to be part of EJS. The only way they will affect us is if they are running a trail that day as an official EJS run they usually don't like anyone else who is not a part of EJS running the trail.
