Haha no worries. Im not going to be making people check in every day or anything. Maybe just once every few weeks or so to make sure plans havent changed.

It was a Jeep thing, but all that stuff broke

Here's an idea to make things go smoother . Have everybody have their tow strap already hooked up in the front and drapped over the fender/bumper so when it comes time to get pulled , everything goes faster.

Cant wait to see the trip report and the deep snow fun. Even though I make the requirements. My tires are at half tread so I wouldn't want to slow the pack. I'll sit out and watch yall have all the fun .

that's a good idea and really I don't think it would be a bad idea to give the order a little thought to match people up kind of like space out lockers or something like that so it's evenly distributed with who can pull out who. just a thought this will be my first snow trip so don't hesitate to tell me if my ideas are dumb

i'm looking for a small shovel and a good way to mount it... I recently and regretfully bought a smittybilt tri fold cheap-o one from 4wp and broke it in half on it's first time hitting dirt. anyone have any better ideas? i'm looking to have a nice one mounted and ready for this trip.

As you can see there is a mid-gunner slot that is open. The mid gunner will be required to have good recovery points front and rear, a cb radio, 33"+ tires, and at least a rear locker. A tow strap would be a plus. If you are interested please PM me. We will make a decision once the trip gets closer.

Some things to include:

Tire size and type (All terrain or mud terrains)
Lockers or limited slips and if they are front/rear
CB radio status and if its built in or handheld
Tow straps
What kind of recovery points you have
Winch (yes or no)
Type of axles would be helpful. Mainly id rather not have someone with 37's on a bone stock dana 30 trying to do a front recovery on a 5000lb stuck rig
Any other info you think is pertinent

Everyone else please let me know on here if you are coming. I understand this is a ways out but please be sure if you sign up that you will be making an effort to come and see no reason at the present why you wouldn't be able to make it. Once the 10 slots fill up we will start filling up a standby list. Standbys will be added as others drop out. If your on the main list, drop out, but later want to be added back in, you will be added to the end of the standby list(if there is one).

One last thing we need to sort out pronto is if a locker/limited slip/traction aiding device will be a requirement. I will say a locker is extremely useful on this trail. Unlocked rigs have made it to the big bend in the road where we usually turn around by using lots of throttle and multiple tries on stuff. This is more of a safety/time concern. I will leave this up to you guys, please post up your thoughts.
I'd like to mid gunner if you have room, if not no stress

If my wife doesn't come you can hop in with me. Won't know til it gets closer but if there's a lot of snow I won't want to bring my daughter with cause of some stranded incedent or blizzard. So ill make my wife stay home

For snow, I use these little aluminum collapseable shovels. They are light weight and easy to stoe away. I have a blue one like this you can have if you want it. IMO, "real" shovels are a pain in the snow. They are long and heavy and awkward to use.
