Cellphone? Not moving over? The report states the Jeep had already lost control - hitting a wall - before striking the officer ... and nothing more as to why the accident occurred. Hopefully both parties are doing well.

they prob werent paying attention and saw it at the last min, then lost control when they tried to move over or slow down. i drive up the canyon from slc to pc all the time and people drive like morons all the time in the snow. crazy when i see someone doing 70 when there is snow on the ground. but they do it all the time. my tires suck and i can see that stuff from a mile away even when its dumping. if i see lights i slow down right away. even in a white out you can see police lights from far away.
