AF Canyon Pics / Videos 9/8

Ok guys i got the pictures from yesterdays trip uploaded to my site.

www.twymans.com
-Click on the Team1k Site link on the left
-Still ghetto looking site but hey, i added some colors for ya and even navigation

If you want to send me some videos to add that would be good since i dont have any. Also if you have pics you would like to add let me know.

I tend to take multiple shots in a row of the same picture in case one is bad and i havent taken time to filter the photos so yes there are sometime 3+ shots that look the same, sorry.

Lastly, if there is a photo(s) that you dont want displayed let me know and ill take them down.

Awesome trip guys, cant wait for next time!

Looks like I missed a good run! I spent the afternoon/evening at tear-a-part and in my garage getting my tow rig moving in the right direction.

4 out of the 5 original studs that the adaptor were bolted to ripped off of the passenger rear. we ended up salvaging one of the studs, then pressed 2 studs out of the drivers rear to limp the Jeep off the trail with 3 studs on either side. HUGE bottleneck situation; about 20 vehicles stuck uphill of breakdown, and another 10-15 stuck down hill. overall breakdown of 2.5+ hours. At one point the Jeep fell off the hi-lift/bottlejacks and shifted to the drivers side about 1.5 feet. I was working on putting the drivers side axle assembly back together when it happened. The axle missed me by inches, but the woman who was holding the flashlight for me took a sharp piece of the bumper/mudflap bar to the leg and had to get taken to the hospital with a pretty gnarly cut. No word or her yet, but i'll keep everyone updated as i hear more. AFAIK, it was nobodys fault that the Jeep shifted; people were working on both sides of the rear axle to get it mobile again, and something shifted. Unfortunately, accidents happen.

That sucks , Atleast the injuries were not as bad as they could have been.

The chance of tipping scared the hell out of me every time I looked at the hi-lift I had with the YJ. Very glad I never had to use it. Anybody have any experience with those exhaust-inflated balloon jacks? Expensive, but if they're durable it seems like a safer alternative.

Can anyone tell me, what the hell happened to this obstacle??? Those bolders that I'm on aren't there anymore nor is that large one, off to my right! Sad day.

That big boulder looks like the one we goaded Travis into driving over. It's in that area the orange jk stopped to let us pass.

I hit that boulder on the way back down and pushed it another foot or so off the trail. It's probably what happened to that entire obstacle over time.
