6/22/13 wheelin

Anyone going out this weekend. I may be in AF for a family thing. I usually avoid this place cause of the crowds but since im there I might as well. Anyone up to forest lake or up above silver lake ?

I'm considering going for a ride tomorrow. Not sure where I would go but I'm either going to go do some wheeling or some fishing. Just haven't decided which one. I'd love to do both but I don't know of anywhere to go. I haven't been up AF canyon yet and wouldn't know where to try.

Is it easy to find? How is the trail? I would throw in my fly rod if it was something easy I could find and wasn't too difficult that would risk breaking something big. I wouldn't want to wheel there with a group and then start to fish and have others wait around while I kill it on the rod. lol.

Edit: Looking at it on google maps it looks like there is dirt road after Tibble Fork. Is that the trail or is there something harder that gets you up to Silver Lake? I should just zip down there and fish the stream off the main highway if I can't find anything else.

Right after tibble fork reservoir take a left. Follow that road til it ends at a camp site booth and take a right just before the booth. Follow that road til you reach silver lake.

I tried to go for a little ride this morning up Butterfield Canyon. I had a weird vibration thing though that made me a little nervous so I went back home and did the ride in my truck. I need to figure out whats going on with my Jeep but I'm lost and haven't any idea where to look.
