If you go to the visitor's center at Lake Mead, they have 3 or 4 maps for free that cover the whole area around there, from down at lake mojave and up by overton(?). Shows all the backcountry roads. Picked them up last time I was out there. Not sure if they are all available online or not.

www.nps.gov has many maps available for all of their parks. It takes a bit of searching through the park pages for them sometimes, but they are there.

Is anyone interested in heading out to LMNR this weekend? I got a few non-jeep guys that want to go. We are looking at going out to the NV side south of Boulder city. I was out on lake Mojave this weekend and saw 3-4 jeeps parked on the NV side of the river. I want to go find out how they got there. PM me if interested.

Aztec, Eagle, or Burro Wash will take you down to the river. Wait, one of those leaves you a little farther up from the river, with a half mile hike....I think that's Aztec. if you go to Nelson's Landing, past techatticup mine at the end of pavement, you can go down to a, well, landing.......there is dirt road that goes west, and that has a branch that takes you farther down the river, as far as I know.

LOTS of dirt roads out there and palces to get lost.....on top of stunning scenery! one of my favorite places to go.

just need to get the Jeep off-roadable.

Is there any reason a stock height open diff TJ shouldn't be out there?

if you take a wrong turn, yes. there is some hairy stuff out there, but most of it is obvious dirt roads, and most of it you have to know where it is. if you find something wild out there, just turn around and find another way. :-)

be advised that it can be very sandy in places, so be sure air down.

Anyone know a good spot to watch fireworks where you can see the whole valley?

We are heading out to Boulder city. I was thinking about finding some high ground to see it all from.

I remember some of my buddies going up to sunrise mountain a few years ago.

This is a google map of local places to wheel.

It would be cool if people can get on here and add points of interest... so please check it out and mark your favorite trails!

Put this back to the top.

Has anyone been on trail # 60 south out of boulder city? I was out around nelsons landing this weekend, and down to cotton wood. I saw trail 60 on a map and it looks like alot of fun.

Anyone been out there?

It's looking like we will be out there sunday am.

is Cottonwood on the Nevada side or the Arizona side, on the 93?

I'm not sure what trail you're talking about.

out and around Nelson's Landing you have eagle, burro and Aztec wash, Electric Avenue, as well Oro Plata Mine and many others

can be rocky, can be very sandy. prone to flash floods. be careful out there.

Cotton wood cove is on the NV side. GO to searchlight and head east. No wheeling required.

Thanks for the tips on nelson area.
