Nevada Title Advice

I need advice on Nevada vehicle titles.

The situation: I plan on purchasing a 94 Grand Cherokee next week off Craigslist. This ZJ is a fixer. The current owner has the title from the owner before him. He never transferred the title over to his name because he had bought it to use it for parts.

My question: How do I get the title to show that I will be the legal owner? Does the current owner need to have the previous owner sign it over to him first?

Thanks for any help in advance.

- John

Has the current owner already signed the old title? If not you can just sign it and take it to the DMV. Or even easier you can buy my zj that needs a motor for CHEAP.

I figured out the situation on the title. All he has to do is sign it over to me and I will accompany that with a bill of sale. If you have a transmission for the 5.2 on your zj that is in good condition we can talk.

I do but I need the whole thing gone. It also has an IRO 4.5 in lift.
