John
theres a few of use leaving pahrump tomarrow

we are meeting at the shell station on homestead and hwy 160 in pahrump
it should be the first gas station or stop light as you come into pahrump
right across the street from the kindom ( the castle looking building)
meeting there around 8:00 leaving by 8:30
we are going over lovell canyon and into potato ridge (rocky gap rd.)
some of us are running the wash and if we can we will remove that pesky dead tree laying in the wash and trying the rest of the wash that has never been done yet
well end in redrock and those of us that live here in pahump are going to turn around and head back to pahrump

we just wanted something close and easy with some challange if you want it

well we will be leaving the shell station about 8:30 it will be 15-20 min.
be for we reach lovell canyon and hwy160
so probily just after 8:30
you might have to wait a few minutes while we drive out there

if we get to the trail head before 9:00 (most likely not )
we will be there a few min. to air down

we will be on CB channel 4

Thanks for letting me wheel with you guys today. Cindy and I had a blast. I am looking forward to doing it again soon with you guys. I am going to be writing a trip report and I will post the link to it here so you guys can read it, I just need to go through all the pictures. As I predicted when we met up, I have forgotten everyones name and which TJ they were in. Could one of you PM me and tell me the names and which truck they were in so I can make my report accurate?
Once again thanks, it has been way too long since I last wheeled (and my choice of lines reflected that!)

It's been several years on both. RO (Rollover) Pete kind of dropped out of Jeeping from what I can tell. I saw him on a big truck oriented forum and sent him an email several years ago but he didn't respond. Jeff Strickland (Crawler) had some job issues that really hurt him financially so he hasn't been active either. Yeah both are good guys and I miss seeing them out on the trail.

Nice blowout, you and your tires never did get along did you John.

As Jerry mentioned, I have always been hard on tires, started carrying 2 spares. That said, I checked the date, the tire was 8 years old. The spare that is on there now is 16. I have had a lot of training with tires and quite frakly, they scare me on the freeway. Off road, they get abused, run at low psi, you cant see where you have damaged the tire before it seperates. I was lucky. I was still at 12 psi, but only going about 40mph. The noise of the tires changeged a little so I slowly let off the gas and got it over.
Anyway, as I type this, I have the photos being transfered to photobucket. Probably be tomarrow for the report. Hopefully it will be worth the wait!
