yeah, i only heard good about bilstein. i might get the same shocks, or mx-6 if theres enough cash.
feels good to drive there, for i have never did those(i always wanted to). it'll be nicer when it rains(with larger tire ofcourse). there is a part there where little small stream passes thou. feels good getting away from the plains of the desert.

Rocky road gap (potato ridge) is located in the red rock canyon scenic loop. About 3/4 the way in. There is a turn off to the right which is paved, then youll pass a picnic area and the road turns to a dirt road. Take that all the way and your on it. I'd say you need at least 32's and a little bit of a lift to make it all the way out to trout canyon.

I don't know if I'd try Rocky Gap alone, especially your first time. I bent my tie rod up like a taco my first time through. Luckily somebody had a spare...

Then again, I was coming up through the Lovell Canyon way and then out through Red Rock.

Thanks for the info. I'll wait until I get my 3" lift and a friend before attempting this one.

I'm not so sure about that. My jeep is in the shop for a third time. It has a oil leak that they can't seem to track down. They have replaced my main seal and my timing cover so far.

Im going up to Potato Ridge this Saturday morning (18th). Meet up is at the Chevron acrossed from the Red Rock Casino at 0830. The plan will be to roll out by 0900 and be up and back down by around 1300 (at the latest) for lunch or something. This isnt a hardcore trip by any means. Just a nice, light 4x4 trip up the mountains to get some cool, fresh air.

Anyway, who's in?
