Dunno. We would probably have to combine a few different types to make it fair for everyone. Do untimed accuracy, timed accuracy for speed, long range rifle, long range pistol, etc. have limited number of rounds and score according to accuracy and round count? Ideas?

If one of us buys the target, whoever wins it buys the next target and collects the entry fees? That way roobicon doesn't take home all of our steel targets? If this worked out, we could all end up with steel targets and some extra cash if we can get a bunch of people in on it. Otherwise, we can just do a monthly competition on paper and soda can targets and winner takes cash. Do $20 entry, and winners are DQ'd for 2 months?

sounds like it would be fun. I kinda like the idea of the different types of competitions each time or whatever. Maybe one day its a rimfire match, maybe one day its pistol, etc etc.

So do you guys just wanna do a $20 buy in, winner takes cash? We can get some scored targets and get this set up. I'll try to get a write up of some different event ideas, rules and scoring. I'll then share it with you guys. I'll probably just plagiarize rules, distances, and events from some of the shooting clubs/competitions.

Can everyone do either the 15th or 16th?

We can do a handgun challenge. Activities to include: standing, low time pressure from concealed holster(5 seconds per shot, 5 shots,) standing high time pressure from concealed holster(4 seconds for 5 shots.) Exercises done at 5, 7, 10, 25 yards on four scored targets. Missed shots subtract 10 points. Unfired/time expired rounds subtract 5 points each.
Elimination style match at 10 yards, 3 shots for two 3-4" diameter targets(air-filled water balloons) from concealed holster. Slowest/least accurate competitor loses the round(no points penalty for misses.) Rounds continue until winner achieved. Winner gains 15 points, 2nd place gets 10, third gets 5. Scores added to the scored target challenge. Highest overall score wins.

What do you all think?

Depending on how many of us show up, it should go pretty quickly, and everyone can help time/judge everyone else's targets for fairness. This could really be a good time!

Sounds like fun. I'll be honest I've never practiced drawing from a concealed holster and try to put it on target. I'm excited and down for that weekend!

Just stick it in your waistband, hood style. Don't shoot your bollocks off though ;-) What gun do you have Puck?

So, Saturday the 15th meet at the Jack In The Box at the M resort at 9, roll out to Sloan spot at 930? Everyone bring a $20 and some target money. I'll see if I can come up with some scored handgun targets and/or some cheap scored silhouettes this weekend, and we can split the cost up when we get there. I'll bring the receipt. Sound good and fair?
