For the ones looking to customize or camouflage your weapons here is a young man who was my neighbor with some very special talent. Fairly close in Idaho and has a FFL. Go to his page and check out his work.

I went out with Roach from Nevada Shooters who made me stretch my legs out to 1200 yds as well. It took 60 MOA of elevation (48 dialed in and 12 holdover) to get there

Whelp, ammo prices are officially never coming down! Expect to pay higher prices for ammo now! The last lead smelting plant in the US is closing dec 31. Bullets produced in the US will now be copper core, and more expensive. Not to mention, the additional wear on barrels due to the harder metal. They're gonna get their gun bans without banning a single firearm!

You are aware that it is not the "last" lead smelting plant in the country right? It is the last primary or raw ore smelting plant in the country. Ammo manufacturers have not used raw ore lead for rounds in years. ATK (parent company of Remington, Speer, and CCI) as well as Lake City, Sierra and multiple other ammo manufacturers have stated it wouldn't effect them at all! Secondary or recycling smelters are cheaper and produce more raw material than primary smelters. Hell, Doe Run, the company that runs the last primary smelter has multiple secondary smelters. So what does it mean to consumers? Not much really. Primary smelters typically sold their goods to medical equipment manufacturers because some of those machines have to use primary lead. Saying that rounds will be copper core is people saying that the sky is falling.

Oh, and one last thing, the smelter closing has nothing to do with the current regime going after guns. It has everything to do with the clean air act of 2003. Doe Run announced the smelter would be closing all the way back in 2008. There was some hope that the company would just build another smelter but they decided that it was cost prohibitive to build a clean air smelter.

I'm probably going to the shooting park this weekend or on Monday to shoot my like 39 new .22's if anybody wants to join?

I need to determine which of them shoot the best, and which one or two to sell.....but I already know I'm not going to sell any haha.
