Looks like i am going to pick up a new pistol tomorrow. A Walther PK380. It's mainly for my wife to shoot, but i am sure i will be putting rounds down range with it often.

I think the Pk380 is an underrated small caliber gun. All the ones I have shot I was way impressed with the grip feel as well as recoil. Just doesn't make much sense to me to buy a full size .380 when you could just get the 9mm. The recoil isn't much different.

We have a carry pistol chambered in .380 acp, so i want my wife to learn with that 1st. Plus i like how it looks and feels in the hand.

My brother has a walther pk380 he got a few years ago. And it did feel pretty good in my hand and it also shot pretty decently. I think he got it for 200$ with 200+ rounds of ammo.

For anyone loading 223, what is your average cost excluding brass? Around 20 cents a round?

No,. 20 cents is my cost per projectile.


Sierra Matchking 96gr. HPBT: .21 per bullet
24.5gr. Varget: .10 per load
SR Primer: .035 per primer

So, $0.345 Per shot, not counting brass. Not counting case lube.

This is for match quality ammo though, not regular AR food. Should be comparable to Federal God Medal Match, 69gr. Which is $26 per box of 20....which is $1.30 per shot.
