Welcome to Las Vegas! There are a number of trails relatively close to the LV valley, however I am not aware of any place to rent a modified Jeep.
Depending on when and where you want to go will most likely determine who is willing/able to tag along. You may also want to hit up VegasValley4Wheelers, I have seen them host runs for visitors in the past.

These guys do: http://www.lasvegasrockcrawlers.com/

I got the impression that he was looking to rent a rig to do his own thing with though.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I want to go out on my own rather than a tour. I think I found a place near the vegas airport that rents lifted Jeeps. Working on a deal to take it out Friday morning.
