That is completely awesome. There's a mine just south of Pahrump in CA that is supposed to be big enough to drive in like that. I've been meaning to go, but things keep coming up and now that it's hot, it'll have to wait.

Anyone want to go in October? Maybe make it a camping trip.

is that from Lake Mead a few weeks back? You need to add some music from the EDC... I know you went. Actually I take that back, wasn't that an 18 and up only event?

So I just typed up this HUGE reply to the whole economy thing but then hit delete. (you're welcome) There's no secret to success! Live within your means and don't borrow money for anything other then a home purchase! EVER!!!! Nothing!!! Sure use your visa for a dinner here or there or some jeans but have it paid off every month in full. Leave it for an emergency! Houses and genuine emergencies are where you should borrow money IMO. If you have to borrow money for your 2012 jeep JK... IMO you can't afford it. Buy an older one that you can pay cash for. When the SHTF you're going to be way better off actually owning your vehicles then having them taken from you.

Also, don't paint yourself into a corner. Learn some skills outside of your career! When you loose your job you might find a career change into those skills you've learned is what keeps you floating! The wider your skill set the better your chances at staying employed thru rough times. I do auto design which could transfer into a ton of other design areas. But there's also a reason I wrench and fab so much in my garage. Sure I like making toys but you know what, I can go get a hands on job out there if i needed to in a pinch!

After reading that I decided not to use my credit card to purchase the gold plated diamond encrusted 24's that say "bawlin'" when they roll for my 88 caprice classic.

No thanks I already have one money pit. I am anxious to see how fast it sells though.

See, you're a smart man!

It's not actually advertised anywhere other then word of mouth yet. I gotta get it cleaned up and a couple things yanked off it first before I actually advertise it.

well my jeep is financed and I have another 4 years until it is paid off. But with a 0% loan, I would be an idiot to pay it off early or not take it. In fact I actually added the lifetime warranty in with the financing only because it was 0%. Our other car is financed out to the max @ 3.2% with gap insurance, so If I get rear ended from some schmuck on his phone, I do not have to worry about loosing anything.

I have always had older cars until a few years ago when the maintenance and upkeep started equaling the amount of a car payment and I was still stuck driving a 10-15 year old turd that was unreliable.

According to that Obama lover, your step bro is like that because he chose that path for himself.

But, I take it back, I will edit accordingly!
